Deadline hires Jesse Whitk as International TV co-editor – Deadline

Deadline has appointed Jesse Whitk as co-editor of London-based International TV.

Whittock joined the growing international team of Deadlines from the UK TV trade broadcast, where he was recently the insight editor, overseeing features and long-form reporting. Whitak has worked across editing and commissioning and has written news, features and long-read articles for Broadcast’s monthly magazine and broadcast website.

Prior to his four-year tenure at Broadcast, Whitk spent five years at UK Trade Television Business International, later as editor. He spent three years at Trade C21 as a senior reporter.

In Deadline, Whittock will work with international TV co-editor Max Goldbert to strengthen our TV footprint in Europe and other international regions. He will also help the company maintain and build a strong position in the UK. He can be contacted at [email protected] and is already working on a new Leonard Cohen drama series from MIP-TV.

Whittack and Goldbert are both deadline’s international editor, Andreas Weizmann, and deadline co-editor-in-chief Mike Fleming, and Nellie Andreva.

Weizmann said: “We are thrilled to welcome Jesse to our international team. She brings with her years of experience covering the international TV business and is perfect for helping us increase our coverage of the global industry during a boom for international content. His strength, knowledge and professionalism will be a great asset to us. “
