Exclusive: Hill Harper and J. Alphonse Nicholson has signed on to star Shadowbox, A new film directed by Joslyn Rose Lyons.
Rose Lyons writes, Shadowbox It is described as “a well-conceived fairy tale, a sequel to a city that uses magical realities and is at risk of losing its manners and its dreams.” Harper and Nicholson will also be executive producers. Harper and Nicholson recently finished shooting for the short “Butterfly Boxing”, directed and written by Rose Lyons. Filmed in Oakland, the short is being used as a tool to develop feature films.
“I am honored to have Hill Harper and J. Alphonse Nicholson star and executive production for my first directorial production,” said Rose Lyons. “They are amazing talents, and have been an inspiration to my journey, so it’s an honor to be able to work formally with them.”
For over a decade, Lyons has managed and created content for outlets such as Starz, Lionsgate, UNINTERRUPTED, Warner Bros., BET, MTV, and OWN. He has also worked as a producer Barbara Lee: Speaking the truth to the authorities, Winner of this year’s 53rd NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Documentary. Harper is best known for his role CSI: NY. He is currently starring on ABC Good doctor As Dr. Marcus Andrews. Nicholson will play Lil Murda in the Stars series P-Valley That is set back this summer.
