Exclusive: Scott Free Productions has chosen the rights to the acclaimed thriller Outside From bestselling Icelandic author Ragnar Jonasson for feature adaptation. Henrik Hansen, Scott’s acclaimed commercial director at RSA Films, is in talks to lead the project. The novel will be published in the United Kingdom on April 28, 2022, and in the United States in June 2022.
The story follows four friends who seek refuge in a small abandoned hunting lodge during a severe Icelandic storm. Miles away from help, and knowing they would die in the cold outside, they broke the lock and entered, hoping to wait for the storm until morning. But nothing can prepare them for what they get behind the door.
Ridley Scott, Tom Moran and Vera Meyer of Scott Free Productions will co-produce Leifur Dagfinson and Christine Thorderson of Truenorth Productions.
