Patrice Coolers, Alicia Garza and Melina Abdullah, the three leaders of Black Lives Matter, recorded a video last summer that was recently released, according to a recent New York Magazine report. In the video, women sit outside an unpublished $ 6 million mansion to mark the first anniversary of George Floyd’s assassination. The luxury home was reportedly bought with a grant from Black Lives Matter.
The 6,500-square-foot estate has more than six bedrooms and bathrooms, multiple fireplaces, a pool and parking for more than 20 vehicles. The home was reportedly purchased in October 2020 with funds donated to the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation. Black Lives Matter bought Diane Pascal two weeks after receiving $ 66.5 million from its financial backer. Pascall is the financial manager of Jana & Patrice Consulting – an LLC run by Patrice Coolers and his wife Jana Khan.
Ownership of the property was then transferred to an LLC in Delaware – which ensured that the owner of the property would not be disclosed. According to the agency, its purpose is to provide a safe haven for Black Lives Matter activists, as well as to act as a studio for the creation of extinction-based content.
You may recall that Patrice Coolers, co-founder of the company, resigned as BLM’s executive director in May 2021 after criticism of buying three homes in the Los Angeles area and Atlanta. Meanwhile, BLM board member Shalomah Boers said BLM had “always planned” to disclose the legal filing of the house and that it did not serve as anyone’s private residence.
