Do you all remember the tragic incident of the dog walking that Lady Gaga lost to the French Bulldogs and was admitted to her dog walking hospital? The 19-year-old suspected dog was taken into police custody last year, and is now a free man after being mistakenly released.
Authorities are searching for James Howard Jackson, who was released Wednesday “due to a clerical error,” according to a statement from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office.
“The investigation is ongoing and the LASD Major Crimes Bureau is actively working to bring Mr. Jackson back into custody,” the statement said.
Jackson appeared in court on Tuesday, NBC News reported. Records show that the charges against him were dismissed and he was released the next day. As we mentioned earlier, Jackson is one of three men charged with attempted murder, conspiracy to commit robbery and second-degree robbery for shooting Lady Gaga’s dog Walker Ryan Fisher.
Fisher was reportedly walking Lady Gaga with three dogs last February, when she was attacked. Video footage of the incident shows two men jumping out of a white sedan and a fight erupts before one man fires a single shot at Fisher.
Lady Gaga offered Kojo and Gustav a 500,000 reward for their return, and two days later a woman returned them to the LAPD station. Police initially said he was “unrelated and not involved” in the crime. He reported that he had found the dogs and responded to an email address attached to the prize
It was later revealed that he was in a relationship with the father of one of the dogs suspected of sleeping.
Ryan Fisher spoke about a week after the incident, explaining that he had almost died as a result of the shooting.
