The Weekend and the Swedish House will headline Mafia Kanye West’s follow-up coachla

Two days after it was confirmed that Kanye West has decided to step down from his headlining set at the Cochela Music Festival, two additional artists have been announced to replace him. It has just been revealed that The Weekend and the Swedish House Mafia will now occupy the headlining Coachella spot that was previously occupied by Kanye West.

Coachella 2022 will officially launch next week, but despite the unfortunate news that superstar Connie West has decided not to perform, the festival has quickly found two replacements. The Weekend and the Swedish House Mafia are ready to take its place. The Weekend previously performed at Coachella in 2018 and the Swedish house mafia was already scheduled for this year’s festival, but will now share primetime headlining slots. This year’s Kochella Festival runs on weekends April 15-17 and April 22-24

Meanwhile, rumors are circulating that Kanye is aiming to create his own music festival featuring his own and other A-list artists. The speculation started when some people who worked closely with him started posting about his potential music festival soon after the news of Kochella broke.

As we have previously reported, it was only after winning two Grammys at this year’s event for Best Rap Song and Best Melodic Rap Performance that it was announced that Kanye was leaving Cochela. Although the details are still unclear, the initial reason was stated because he could not come to an agreement on stage design that could accommodate his ideas for acting.
